My 2 pygymys are 6 weeks old now and just this week I have pushed them down to 4 x a day.A bottle at about 6:30 am, (just before i got to work), one around noon, another around 6 pm and then one more around 10PM They each zip through a 20 oz bottle. They would drink more, but I am encouraging them to eat solids and always have hay and goat pellets available.
Before this last week they were getting about 1/2 to 3/4 of the bottle but with feedings about every 4 hours from 6:30 am to midnite.
I used UNIMILK for the first month, which is a multi-species milk replacer. It doesn't make sense, but sometimes using the species specific replacer seems to cause tummy upsets! Usually the specific ones have some sort of medication in them and the universal is non medicated. I did not have scours with this pair, but have in the past using species specifics. I usually switch them (gradually) when they are a few weeks old for the vitamin and protien requirements to whatever type they should be getting.
I usually keep a can of ESBILAC, (puppies, and some small mammals)KMR (kitten milk replacer, also good for certain small mammals) and a bag of UNIMILK on hand, along with an assortment of bottles and nipples, because I never know what will land on my doorstep next!
