What’s up guys it’s been a looooooong time since I was last online and allot has happened after losing 2 of my young hens including my beloved Tucky😢 but I could do with a little help. I have a 38 day old Muscovy egg that I had in the incubator and I could not hear anything from it now feel. I tried rotating it feeling for movement but i believe it was stuck. I made a little crack on the egg to see if it would move if I poked it and it didn’t. I peeled away all the shell and it started moving. I know it was from touching it and triggering the movement because I wasn’t poking it I was just holding it in the palm of my hand. It was a kicking motion and I am scared. Did i do it too early. I know it only takes around 35 days for a Muscovy too hatch but I don’t think I should have assisted it. I have it covered with other duck shells in the incubator so no other duck or chicken in the incubator will interfere with it. Plus I have a chicken hatching with a longer bottom beak.

Thanks for the help but I think it’s dead now sadly but I do have two more hatching and one due in 2 days

It came from a long and very thin egg which may have caused some developing issues causing it to slow down but im not sure.

I'm sorry it didn't make it.

If it was an oddly shaped egg, there is a good chance it wasn't a fully healthy egg. I could see it potentially affect it's ability to move in the egg as well.
