What kind of netting should be used? The lightweight stuff or something more beefy like snow fence?

Quote: Well...I guess I should have asked to OP exactly where they live in Indiana to know if snow is an issue or not.
Southern Indiana probably not, Northern Indiana... absolutely.
We've gotten 5-6 feet of snow so far this season, last year we got 13 feet.I have mild winters here in NC, really two or three weeks of real winter max, so I used the light weight. I got it off of Amazon and I haven't had any critter get through it. Up where you are, you might need stronger stuff.
Is it a fabric type of 'netting'?![]()
.Twice in the 6 years that we have had the netting we had to go out and get the snow off,it rained first then a heavy snow came, thought sure I lost it the first time,it was awful almost on the ground.Thought it was going to snap the sticks but it didn't.I live in northern Maine so we get a lot of snow.Just wanted to share some of my picks.I section off the runs at breeding time and there are dog houses in there now for shelter.
Its like what fishing nets are made of,you can oder whatever size holes you want.I think mine are 2 inches,Yes the snow goes right thru. The netting has like a plastic coating on it.I think I got mine off ebay, aviary nettingIs it a fabric type of 'netting'?
How big are the holes?
Mostly the snow falls right thru?
