Need help!

Can you check her crop to feel if it is full and hard or puffy? She might have something stuck in there hich could have caused the tongue problem and gurgling. I haven't had the experience like this to not see a tongue, but seem to remember someone else recently had that problem. I will try to do some looking for that thread. Many cases of wry neck may be from injuries to the head or neck. Be careful to just give a drop or two at a time of fluid, giving her time to swallow.

As far as I can tell her crop is empty. Seriously can't find her tounge though.

You may want to check for the tongue in the back on the throat, in case a string or hair has become wrapped around the tongue. In the recent thread about not finding the tongue, the end of the tongue was cut off by a string. I suppose this could be the case if she perhaps swallowed one end of the possible string. How is she doing at this time?

She is the same. Her eyes are bright and her nose is clear. She acts fine ther than being in pain and scared that I brought her in the house and keep handling her. I haven't tried to give her anymore fluid because I'm afraid of drowning her. I will try again in a little bit to see if I can find her tounge or a string or something.

She might rest more comfortably in a crate inside the coop where she can wake up with the others--or you can put her there in the morning after you look inside her beak with a light. Get another pair of hands to help you. Put her water in there, and then food if her crop is not full or impacted. If you have vet care available, I would take her in if you still cannot see her tongue. Tube feeding can be learned easily, and most vets can get you a feeding tube, large syringes, and help you. There is a good thread to read if you Google or search BYC for "Go team tube feeding."

Thanks for all the help. I gave her some electrolytes by dropper last night. I didn't want to give her too much, but found her tounge at last, it was just way back in the back. I also swabbed her mouth and throat with mouthwash. They're seemed to be some blood and puss back there. She seems better this morning. Gave her some more electrolytes an a food and water dish. Her head is still crooked but she seeme to be moving it more easily. Hubby will keep an eye on her for me while I'm at work and I will Sean her mouth again and start her vitamins. Thanks for all the help.

The blood and puss in the throat kind of sounds like a possible respiratory infection. ILT virus can cause yellow clumps of pus in the throat and trachea, and bloody mucus from the beak. Do you see any labored breathing, coughing, or wheezing? I would think about seeing a vet for hlep with diagnosis. Here is a good link about common diseases, including the respiratory diseases infectious bronchitis, mycoplasma (MG,) ILT, and others: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

Thanks for the link. I read a few articles and went to a site that has help with diagnosing. Unfortunately, most of her symptoms are a little vague. I've noticed wheezing, but only when she turns her neck to far to the left (the bad side) or tries to straighten her neck. I have considered a couple of viral diseases, but I don't have a vet in my area. So, I'm going to do the best I can to treat her and pray she pulls through.

I don't know where you are located, but some states have good state vets or poultry labs that might help in getting testing. I really hope that you don't lose her, but if that should happen, a necropsy done by the state vet may be helpful in diagnosing the problem. Those results are sometimes very helpful to those of us looking for answers or trying to identify a problem. Here are some good links:
