Need help

We lost our first chicken this morning. She was a year old. When hubby opened her up to see what was going on he said her lungs were a mess with a coupe nodules. There was a giant blood clot as well. Should I be worried for my 5 other girls? Anyone have any insight

It doesn't sound contagious to me. What are you feeding? Too much fat in the diet can cause heart problems.

Otherwise sometimes chickens do just drop dead. A blood clot to the lungs would certainly do that. Sorry you lost her.
