By saying I was not attacking you personally I was hoping that you would catch the drift of what I was saying before automatically thinking I was being rude. Buying straight run ducks is like hatching them yourself, you cannot control what you end up with. Statistically you should get a 50/50 split, in real life that doesn't always happen. I say think before you hatch for that exact reason. Say you set 10 eggs, if you get an even 50/50 boys vs girls split you still have way too many boys. What if you don't get that split and you end up with 8 boys and 2 girls, what will you do then?
I was asking you questions that you will have to deal with when the ducklings hatch. It's better to plan for the worst case scenario before it happens (that would be why I mentioned butchering or dumping, for some people those are valid options).
Hatching is fun and amazing. It's a great teaching and learning experience. I stand by what I said before, think (plan) before you hatch.
