Need help

So I recently rescue a production red hen and in about two week she started laying egg. It the seven day and she has lay a fifth egg. I use to have hens before but they never sat on their egg. I was wondering if the egg she lay will died if she don't sit on them? And how many egg would she lay before she decide to sit down, we'll go broody? And if it okay for the egg to be left alone ?
