Need HELP!!!!

We ended up having to put her down. She had fluid on both sides of her cavity.

It sounds as though she has ascites, which is fluid in the abdomen, sometimes from heart failure or liver failure brought on by egg yolk peritonitis or other problems. There is little that can be done other than occasionally removing fluid from the abdomen to help them relieve the pain, and make breathing easier. You did the right thing to put her out of her misery.

It was hard to let her go, she was one of my best hens. But I know it was the right thing to do, she didn't need to suffer no more. No hen will ever replace that girl.
