Hey all,

I was with my chickens yesterday and saw a black scab on one of my hens’ top of their foot. I think it’s bumblefoot and I’m ready to proceed going that route, but I wanted yalls opinion.

She’s not limping, and it’s stayed the same size since yesterday. Thank you!

Hey! I continued to soak the foot in epson, and I also put veticyn on it everyday. After about a week of this, the scab fell off and there was soft skin under, kind of like scar tissue.

It’s been a few months and she still has a little faint mark where it was, but it’s hard to spot. I would say keep an eye out, and if you’re able, soak in warm epson salt water, and spray some veticyn. Can’t hurt!

What does your chickens foot look like?

All my best!
