Need helping Sexing chicks

Greetings & Salutations! Welcome and Good Morning.

I'm newish and still learning but I would guess cockerel.
I agree that it will be best for the chick to not be alone. TSC, RK, and other farm stores may still have chicks. Check them and buy 3-4, incase another is a cockerel.
Last year, the end of May, I purchased 8 that were about 2.5 weeks old as it's the end of the chick season for most stores.

You will probably have to set up the brooder for a short time of "see no touch" for them to get used to each other. Search the forums/posts for integration and ask questions.

Is he a for sure cockerel? Also we’re not allowed to have roosters so if we were to put him in a new home would my pullet (Cheddar ball) handle it ok if we were to get her a new chick? Any suggestions?
You will still need to do a slow introduction and integration of new chicks to your pullet. I would get 3 chicks. Raise them in a brooder where your pullet can see them and they her. When the chicks are about 3 weeks old you can start letting them intermingle with the pullet while you monitor. Based on how she reacts you may be able to leave them together at this point.

Ah thanks for the advice 🙏

Hi, your little one does appear to be male. Can you find about 3 more the same age as your other bird for company (it would be best not to have a single chicken).
What were the signs that he’s male?
Im not quite sure he’s male for some reason, I’ll probably wait to see, but I heard that if the wing feathers touch the tail feathers it’s a supposed hen? His wing feathers definitely touch the tail feathers and he thankfully hasn’t gotten a wattle yet. Thanks in advance
