All joking aside, this is a tragic matter. I am so frustrated with people who buy pets when the shelters are full of great companion animals. Like my co-worker spent who $250 for a pure-bred boxer puppy.
I have had over 10 dogs in my life, all rescued from horrible situations or shelters. If you MUST have a pure bred dog, please check out the rescue societies for the breed you want. Virtually every major breed has one staff with volunteers who will work with you to get the dog to you, even cross country.
