Need Ideas For Small Coop Please.....

Second I made my coop in a few days and for under $200 you can see it on my byc page.. There are a lot of things Iwould do different and still am changing but its a good start and kinda cute I might add...

I like the idea of a doghouse for a coop but have never gone that small. With 4 hens, they really should have the extra-large doghouse, and hardly have room for nestbox, feeder, & waterer indoors.

If you elevate a small structure, they will have shelter underneath. It will probably also make easier access and cleaning for you. That area can be part of an outdoor pen.

Depending on your climate and such, that sheltered area may also house their feed & water, perhaps even their nestbox.

edited to say, your fence pickets may be useful for exterior siding and plans for simple doghouses are available. Just make the "doggie door" adequate for you and put in another door for the chickens.

We built a little tractor, and you could use something like our nest/coop for your little ones. It's 4x4x3 tall.

And, with the tractor run. You wouldn't need this part if they free range
