I'm getting a new incubator, and wanted to get some feedback from everyone here! I've previously hatched with a Brinsea Octagon Eco, which I liked for the size, but it didn't auto-turn and I felt $100+ for a flimsy plastic turning cradle (that many reviewers said broke) was ridiculous. I've also hatched in a Brinsea Mini Advance borrowed from a friend. I loved the automation, but it only holds 7 eggs (unless you remove the auto-turn), and since most of my eggs are shipped I like to start at least 12 to better my odds of a decent hatch.
My incubator wish list is:
-auto-turning
-holds at least 12 eggs
-easy to see into
-is inexpensive, or at least under $100
-would prefer it not be a hovabator
Any recommendations? I've been spying on the MagicFly (and the identical off-brand), but there are o many options out there I'm somewhat overwhelmed. I don't need the Brinsea brand name-- just something that gets the job done.
