Need info on Texas A&M quail

Im wanting to get some good meat birds and was told the A&Ms were the best to get.Does anyone have any opinions on the subject?One more thing,does the A&Ms come in jumbos like some of the others or not?I'd like to get some hatching eggs but dont know what to look for.

A&M are jumbo whites, you can get jumbos in a couple different colors and patterns, buy from a reputable breeder that will provide feedback from people that actually hatched their eggs and from people that can verify the weight of their birds, if they aint 12oz or more they aint jumbos

I have raised Jumbo Browns for a long times and started my first flock of Texas AM's 9 weeks ago. Mine will be 10 weeks this Monday. They are noticeably bigger than my Browns. They egg is much larger too. So far I am happy with them. Hope they are good layers too.

Where did you get your hatching eggs from? So many people sell normal whites as TAM's that it gets very difficult to obtain good foundation breeding stock.

A real A&M is the "Bigfoot" of the quail world. I have yet to see anyone take a picture of a big one on a scale, or offer actual mature weights of these "alleged" birds. Anyone who is serious about breedin' consistant big meat birds, that doesn't have a scale, or isn't weighin' them at different ages to determine growth rates, is really missin' the boat.

A really decent scale that measures both grams and ounces can be obtained at any Harbor Freight store for about 15 bucks. Until I see anybody back up their claims as to these "big white birds", they're all just English Whites to me, with some just bein' slightly bigger than others.

I'd like to know also where to get eggs from a breeder that has the real Texas A&M birds. Lots of folks have white, but the birds i've seen are no larger than normal birds. I want a egg source for big jumbo browns and big Texas A&M's. Anyone know who has the real deal?

Many great breeders of REAL Texas A & M's across the US.... do your research, check references, and consider that the next few months will be very hot......and not the best time to ship hatching eggs...express mail works best in extreme temps.....
