can we eat the eggs of a chicken who is on antibiotics for 14 days?

I wouldn't. Why risk it? I'd give her a couple weeks to get the stuff out of her system........

This really is on subject, just give it a minute. I was bottle feeding some calves and my hands were breaking out badly with a scaly red rash. After checking the label on the feed, I found it contained tetracycline...I am allergic to tetracycline! Mystery solved. I would definitely give the antibiotics time to clear the system before eating the eggs. Different antibiotics require different times to completely clear and you never know who might have an allergy! Hope your chicken is okay!

My veterinarian, who also raises chickens, says not for a minimum of 2 weeks.
