Need muscovy advice

We LOVE our Muscovies!!! We have 15 and four of them are sitting on nests right now. They are quiet ducks and are much more personable than other ducks(which we have also). Several follow me around like a dog and wait for their special treats. Very beautiful as well!! You can't go wrong with them.

Hi I too LOVE Muscovies( what characters) Just a warning though if you end up getting drakes and hens beware I believe that it is the Muscovy's goal to repopulate the world with ducklings! They are very prolific breeders and in my experience great moms

So they will fly over a fence that's around six feet tall? Or will they most likely stay in my backyard? I have a huge backyard so it's not like it's a little teeny one. It's a very large yard for a neighborhood.

Muscovies also like to roost. Of course your ducklings won't but they do climb and will sit on logs etc. All my adults roost at night unless brooding and they like roosting after a bath to preen.

I love my Muscovies and am trying not to use the fact that it seems my male/female ratio is off to justify getting more this year. Ha, Ha, Ha. I reared them the same as my other ducklings and they are doing great!

Muscovies are the best!!! 3 of my hens hatched out about 35 babies.
