need opinions on coop I'm building

My questions are about the raised isle do not know if I need to just run wire across or finish it with board siding it gets pretty cold here in the winter and worried about ventilation but don't want them cold either hoping some of you would offer your opinions

It looks like that's the only ventilation so I'd just cover it with hardware cloth and put a nice overhang on the roof to minimize wind, rain and snow from blowing in. Face that side of the coop away from prevailing winds.

Both sides are open but on the backside of the coop there is a bank that would block most wind and weather I was debating about putting wire up then going over the wire with a few boards spaced out on the side you can see in the picture and just wire on side against the bank would that work you think I can take more pictures later so you can see it better

Nice coop! Looks good, X2, I would just use hardware cloth. Chickens are about 104 for body temp with feathers, so they should stay plenty warm in there.

I would cover the northside, board it up if the whole south side is open like that, you don't want a wind blowing through there, think ventilation, not wind.
