I have 2 slw's and they are about 5 weeks old. They both are tuning pink on their combs. These chicks are from a feed store that ordered all pullets from Ideal. I'm wondering do they just turn early, and I'm looking for pics to compare to.

I will have to wait till I get home, but I have picks of my 2 SLW about that age. Both mine were roos. BUT I had a columbian who was the first to redden out and she is a she. I might have picks of her too... I will have to check and see. All my pics are on my home computer, but I have picks of my flock around 5 weeks, and I had about a dozen wyandottes in 5 colors, both genders. I will see what I can do for you.

Here's a pic of my 5-week-old Blue Laced Red Wyandotte. Have no idea, pullet or roo, so any comments would be helpful. I hatched the chick in the bator from my own eggs. Any guesses?

Mine are looking alot like yours, which is worrying me because like I said, the feedstore told me they were all pullets. I wonder if they just mature faster.

Where are all the wyandotte people? They will surely be able to clue me in.
