Hey everyone!
I started writing an article on what to look for when picking up new poultry in the beginning of winter. I then got busy, (we do a lot of winter sports) and didn't finish the article. I'm picking it back up and decided I need more/better quality photos, and some more things to look for. It's a guide/list of what to look for when adopting new additions. You never know what to expect when going to someones house to adopt poultry, you could find something much different then you expected. I think plenty of us have experienced this.
I'm looking for ideas on what to add to the article. So far I've put in the article what I look for, (respiratory symptoms, bumble foot, missing feathers/over mating/bullying, parasites, and I always inspect the hosing.) I feel like I need a longer list though. What do you look for that I haven't already added?
I would also like good photos of the things listed below-
Bumble foot
Over mating
Respiratory symptoms/disease
Parasites
If you have anything else to add to the list of things to look for, feel free to post photos along with it if you are okay with me using them. I wasn't able to find an article like this on BYC, and thought it would be a good addition. Thanks guys!

Do you want pictures of respiratory issues in specific? Like with names?
In the article I just explain to look for symptoms in general as I didn't want to explain every type of respiratory infection, and link symptoms to it. Just wanted to give a general guide line of symptoms to look out for.
If you have photos of the symptoms and names of what type it is that is definitely helpful. :) Then I can label which type it is in a caption. If you don't know the specific type it is or don't have a name, thats just fine as well, I'm not to picky.

I also realized that Mareks is probably something I should add to the list. I've never needed know much about Mareks thank goodness, but that also means I don't know much about symptoms, how they get it, what to look for etc, etc.
Info on any of the above questions is very helpful. :)
I'll also credit any one who helps in the article with a list at the bottom.
