OK, I made a DIY waterer out of a Folgers container and a rubbermaid container lid. It was working fab. then the chicks help knocking it over so took a new folgers container and cut a hole and glued it to the lid and glued that to the brick and stuck the lid on the folgers container on the container (this way the container was right side up where my first one was upside down on the lid.) if any of this makes sense.. LOL!

heneyways, it wasn't working... the new way was just dumping the water all out slowly and just never stopped. so I just redid it and thought perhaps it needs to be upsidedown instead of right side up with the lid on. so I taped over the previous hole and made a new one on the new "bottom" put it on the lid it sits on and it leaks out all over the place.

Im out of ideas why the heck this isn't working anymore... did my lid I was setting it on warp? it is not getting a good seal? I dont know what to do.. they need water and Im out of containers and its almost 9pm! ahhhh! help! I need to get them a waterer for the night!

I once used a shallow round coontainer. I put some rocks in the bottom to help hold it down and to keep them from drowning. It's a temp fix but works. I hope this helps.
