I have a half gallon of buttermilk to use up and am not sure what to do with it. I normally only use it to soak chicken before I fry it. So if anyone has any good recipes that use buttermilk I would appreciate them. Thanks

    Pancakes or Waffles

2 cups of scooped all-purpose flour
    2 tablespoons sugar
    1/2-teaspoon salt
    1-tablespoon baking powder
    1/2-teaspoon baking soda
    2 eggs
    1/2 stick butter – melted
    2 cups buttermilk

Measure dry ingredients into a bowl and stir well to mix.

Beat the eggs with the melted butter.

In a large measuring cup, mix the vinegar, milk, and sour cream, beat into the eggs.

Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir just until bell combined, let batter rest while you heat your griddle or waffle iron for waffles.

The batter will get very thick, I thin it out just a bit for pancakes but not much.

I mostly use buttermilk to make Ranch dressing. I freeze it in 1/2 cup amounts since there is no way I'd use an entire carton.
