Need recommendation on a turkey feeder

I like the simple design as well it looks like an old fashion tool tote modified and the length allows for more Chickens and Turkeys to feed at one time.
The all wood looks like it would hold more feed than the PVC design does.
would there be a problem using treated lumber to make it last longer.
I guess a person could get a larger thick wall PVC pipe to make the other style.
KUNTRYGIRL  You have a nice looking flock of Birds there.

Thank you!

And you are right as far as describing that feeder. That is exactly how I explained it to the person that built it and that is exactly how he made it. The wood feeder does hold more feed and it is sturdy and they cannot tip it over.

I'm not sure about using treated lumber but I guess it would last longer huh?

I love the simple design feeders.

Your feeder just needs modified. The sides and the front that slants out should have a higher lip so it will splatter less. Also, you can lower your front edge (part with the label on it) so the feed doesn't get so high in your exposed part. I make homemade ones just like yours and love em. Try modifying it, it will work just fine. jeff
