Need recommendations : Feeder for 100 chickens

I don't use these feeder for my birds I just thought since he has that many he probably has a large building which he could fit these long gutters in.

I really like the gutter feeders. I use fermented feed and there is no waste because they eat it all. Feed late afternoon about 4pm and that will take them through the night.

I would use round feeders similar to the galvanized ones you hang in the coop but with shields on them to block rain. They have these for sale on many websites Google large outdoor chicken feeder. I would probably build my own out of barrels or large buckets of some sort

We are heading towards having 100 chickens. What type of feeder would work best for this many? They are free range, having over 5 acres of pasture at their disposal.
I would either make feed shelters to keep the feed out of the rain (but you will have wild birds eating the feed) or keep the feed inside the coop (better I think) and have at least 5 galvanized cylindrical feeders.

Just my opinion!

If you really want minimal waste, I really like the 12 lb metal feeder set inside a rubber fortex feed tub (not hanging). They have difficulty scratching the feed out onto the floor that way. They will eat from the top but then when the level gets too low they start eating from the side. If you tip it daily and circulate the feed, it all gets used up and not stuck inside the feeder for days. You can use an oil pan instead of a rubber feed pan.
