...and just for ole rooster, here she is without a deer blind in the way!

We have the truck up on blocks right now...it needs the brake "system" worked on, but it starts and runs!

You won't be able to fit much of a ladder roost in just 4sqft of space. You need 1ft between each rung and 1ft away from the wall. That'd mean you'd have one rung, that's it.

Maybe this ain't right, but that truck gave me chills. Wow. The front end is in fantastic condition.

On the coop, if you go with it like it is, I would cut a slot and make exterior nesting boxes. That free's up interior space. Since the interior limits the actual space you have available for the chickens, one roost pole across the width should be plenty. I have two 54 inches long roost poles and have 8 birds on the highest one at one time. The other one is lonely with no takers. The ladder is hooked to that one. Plus the highest one is the larger of the two, if that has anything to do with it.

It looks like you are going to have a lot vacant upper space that is only going to be head space with no real use.

How much for the truck? I'm only 12 years older than the truck. I had an old GMC just like it. That truck rolled down a hill?

I can't part with it! Too many memories attatched to it...yep, rolled down a hill. the rest of the truck is in the same shape as the front though.

I currently have 20 birds including the juvies...I will be decreasing numbers as soon as I am certain which are roosters, and which personalities mix best with the flock, and with my household....would one roost be sufficient for that many for a short while?
