Need rooster help

Agree with Dan.Accept for the ignoring part. Two of my cockerals were turning out to be aggressive up until my roosters and hen became brutal with them. And I started training them.

Thank you everyone for your advice They are Buff Orpingtons does that change anything?

Most roosters that are not at least a little afraid of you are the ones that think they can dominate you when the hormones kick in. I spoil the girls and ignore the boys from the time I first know their boys. I have my best luck with roosters that are raised with older hens that will teach him some manners.

You are being given excellent advice from many sources. Some of the most human aggressive roosters I have known were those raised as "pets" who thought they were in charge.
Consequently some of the nicest and sweetest and safe around everyone were ones raised in the flock and came up through the ranks. They were tame, came when called and will take treats from the owner, but their place is with the flock, not on the owner.
Just curious, what breed are your roosters? I have bantam roosters who are pets with no problem.

I agree with Aart and Mrs. K. - roosters are hardwired to be the head of the flock, or to at least provide protection for the flock if they are not the head rooster. To their little rooster brain way of thinking, you allowing them in your lap is like telling them they are in charge. We tend to put human thoughts and emotions on animals, but it does not work that way with roosters many times. I am on my second rooster, and this one is working out beautifully because I did not handle him much as a chick or youngster, and he keeps out of my way as he should since I am a dominant figure to him.

Good luck! I'd keep your head rooster and rehome the others too.
