NEED Sci-Fi titles

I'm running out of books!

It's hard to hang about in the library looking for books because of their computer monitors and fluorescent lights ... if you know of a good book, please list it here.

I'd love to be able to keep this thread going.

Here are some excellent books I just read:

East of the Mountains by David Guterson
No Eye Can See by Jane Kirkpatrick (she lives very near us)
The Teahouse Fire by Ellis Avery

....what exactly is science fiction?..like..is it alien stories..lol..or what?..i have always been confused about this(among MANY other things..)..thanks for any help, Wendy

I basically have the same question, because I read JD Robb's Eve Dallas books and they are all set in the future but have never really considered them sci-fi.....

Louis McMasters Bujold - any of the Vorkosigan saga.

If you like Sci-Fi/Fantasy try some Mercedes Lackey or Sharon Shinn. I love them both and they are prolific writers. You won't run out for a while!
