If you want a good, solid 20' pole that will support the netting you can go to Home Depot and buy two 12' and two 8' pressure treated 2x4's. Also buy a 1lb box of 3" galvanized deck screws. Then you "sister" them alternatley together by screwing them face to face. (screw the 8 footer to the 12 footer, then alternate on the other side.) What you end up with is a 20' long post that is 3" x 3 1/2" in diameter. No cutting involved and can be assembled in 5 minutes.

THanks.. so your saying, .. crapola.. ya lost me there.... sister them alternating.. I cant build.. nadaaaaaaaaaaaaah.. LOL/ I am going to buy what you say.. next week and see if I can figure out what your saying..hehehehe

and then flip the boards over and do the 8 foot on the other side? and then add the other 12 foot.. sorry.. I am thick headed

Ok, I'll try to "dummy it down', lol, JK. Lay one 12 footer and one 8 footer end for end on the ground. Next, place the other 12 footer on top of the two of them starting at the 8 foot end. Install screws like a madman. Next, place the remaining 8 footer end for end to the one you just screwed down and continue to install screws till it hurts. Please use a good cordless drill/driver to do this and not a screwdriver, lol.

See, if you gave me enough lumber, I could build the Taj Mahal, but if someone had a gun to my head and forced me to make that little computer picture thingy that you just did a couple posts above me, I would tell him to pull the trigger.

I would be concerned with putting it in the ground with concrete, You would need to put it quite a ways into the ground for stability. Probably at least 6 feet which would mean you would need a pole 26 feet long. With it stabilized and bolted to the tree it would have quite a bit more stability.
