I have chickens currently that are adult and some that are “teenagers” of both regular and bantams. Recently I was given an additional 8 Easter eggs and 6 bantams by a lady who was a first time chicken-neer. She brought a box of them to me and said they were all dying and she didn’t know what to do… so… of course I took them (she didn’t even have a heat lamp). After a few visits to the vet and with only 6 Easter eggs and 2 bantams left we figured out they had a massive case of cocci. So 2 weeks after meds, all is well. However the EEs are much bigger now and so I had to move them out of the brooder (we had them in there so long because they were sickly and underweight, and they couldnt hold their body temperature yet). But now the 2 little bantams that were left always seem cold and/or sad now… should I go get some more bantams and try to put them in? I’ve never had just 2 like this…??? I have thoroughly sanitized everything, but I’ve never had this situation before so I don’t know if they will still carry it??
