If you don't have any luck at the feed store, which I think is a great idea btw, you can call your county extension agent, in the phone book under county government. He or she will know where to find fertile eggs in your area. It is a holiday weekend so that will be a bit of a wait. If there are any farmer's markets in your area, you can talk to people there.

Update: The Little Mama has ousted two eggs from underneath her. Based on what others have said in other posts, they're duds because they sloshed. Bummer. There goes 1/3 of my batch. She still insists on sitting on the other four, but I've not noticed any of the eggs rocking or peeping coming from them. The feed store doesn't carry fertilized eggs but the man there gave me a phone number to a local guy who has some.
