Ok here's the deal. I bought a LG bator about a week ago. I have saved 25 of my own chicken's eggs, have 2 dozen coming Friday from a friend, and another 2 dozen coming from Siz. Some of my eggs have already been waiting since I bought the bator (about a week ago) and I am afraid to wait any longer. I want to set them now, but I am afraid of the mess of a staggered hatch. Would you wait until all the eggs are here and set them all at the same time, or would you go ahead and set the older eggs, and later build or buy a hatcher for the staggered hatch? If I do make a hatcher, what is the simplest way to make one?
P.S. I meant to ask about this too- can I brood the different batches of chicks in the same brooder, or will I have to keep them seperated? If there is only an age difference of (at the most) 4 days, will they fight?

If there that close together you might get away with doing the all together. I dont think it would hurt.
