Need some advice

My button decided to incubate a plethora of eggs... She also is incubating them in a large cage shared with 3 coturnix. My boyfriend's house (where they live) will soon be inaccessible and I believe the babies will hatch while he's gone (thanksgiving trip). Is there anyway I could manage to transfer the eggs to my home without killing them? The eggs should hatch very soon, at least I believe very soon and I do have an incubator, but no car charger for it. We were gone for a week and we found out that she was incubating eggs, and I'd hate to see anything bad happening to the lil' chicks.

Do you want to move just her eggs to your house/incubator?

or both her and the eggs?

how long to get from his place to yours?

couldn't he leave you a key?

Yeah...why not leave you a key?

If that isn't possible and you want to take just the eggs, you can get those little hand warmer packs in the sporting good section of your local super store. They are only a couple of dollars. I used them in the past when buying ducklings to keep them warm until I could get them home and in the brooder.

If the incubator you want to transfer the eggs to is not that far away, the embryos should not suffer any damage if you keep them warm (at least room temperature). How far will you be transporting them?

We live about a block apart. It's under a 5 min drive.
