(For me, it also made it easier to clean the poo... I raked the hay up, wearing gloves, tossed it in the compost and most, if not all of the poo went with it...and honeslty, tho I want happy chickens, most of my decisions ended up coming down to WHAT MAKES IT EASIER TO CLEAN ALL THAT POO
