The only thing I would add is that space is HUGE when it comes to mess. If you can add another rubbermaid & split them into two groups it will actually reduce your workload (and the stench) because they won't get filthy as fast. Another option would be to cut up cardboard to create a circular barrier (or you can use doggie playpens or similar) and then put down plastic under bedding. Make sure you extend the plastic outside the pen, though, because they'll shoot their poop out the side! The larger the area they have to use, the less you'll be cleaning.
As for smell, you can cut down on that some by sprinkling baking soda under the bedding. It really is remarkably good at absorbing odor.
And of course, anything you can do to contain the water mess will make a BIG difference.
