Need some guidance.

Everyone has given you good advice. It's better to run on the low side with humidity than too high. I like to keep it right around 40%. If you're having a hard time getting it lower, you can try running a dehumidifier in the room. That helps a lot. Do you have your little vent on top open all the way? That helps too.

Ive got it down to 35-40 and it seems steady for the most part. Emptied the resovoir A and it drops to 35.

Well I just finished candleling and I have pulled out all the non fertile ones. I didn't know to candle ahead of time so I wanted to make sure there was no growth. I'm left with 6 little Lincoln Penny's (parents names lol. All have moving embryos, mostly dark areas with nice veins and good air sacks. Not sure if I'm seeing any bloodrings but will candle once or twice more before lockdown.
:fl :celebrate

Something I did this week when our humidity outside rose after a thunderstorm...I removed the cover for "B" water tray and it dropped the humidity fairly quickly. I also had to open the vent all the way. Good luck!
I took a paper towel and sucked up the water in "A" and it dropped to 35. It got humid here too and went back up to high 51 so I opened the vent to max and kept an eye on it. When it went back down to 31 I closed the vent halfway like I started it with.
I'm definitely keeping an eye on it cause the weather has been effecting it.

Yes, I'm having the same problem. If you happen to have an empty syringe, that will work well to suck the water out of the trays. Our weather is changing daily here so I've been watching the humidity in the 'bator like a worried mother!

Thank You Everyone, my 1st hatch was a success!!! :celebrate
Out of the 6 viable Silkie eggs I only had 1 quit. As of Yesturday I have 5 beautifully cute Silkie babies with surprising colors. They are from Chocolate parents (unless I missed something) and have whitish wing tips and underbellies. One even has a toe on each foot that is white. And OMG so tiny! :jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy:jumpy 20200912_174645.jpg 20200912_203054(1).jpg
