Need some hatching buddies - Hatching May 24-28

Loved the chickie pictures!
Day 20 here.....down to 21 eggs from 27 but if they all hatch it would be great. I'm vaccinating this next hatch right out of the incubator and putting on leg bands. If my chicks live through that...I know they will be tough! Never vaccinated before but I have older birds near where the new chicks coop will be and don't want to take the chance that the old birds (I only have had 3 weeks) are "carriers" of Mareks. They seem healthy and lay eggs daily but I paid more for these hatching eggs and want to ensure they don't get sick. (if I don't kill them sticking a needle into their neck with NO experience!) Good luck with everyones hatches!

I've got a pip too. It appeared after I woke up and I decided I was going to be bad and see if I could see any internal pipping. I saw one in an EE. What a science project for my homeschooled kids! We have a pip in one of the cochin eggs. I've got a clear top bator, so we can see really well. I need to get my brooder setup!

Catastrophe averted for now! I got up this mrning and checked the bator. Apparently a chick had hatched on the top floor and when it pushed out of its egg, it pushed over the edge and fell onto the ground level. Poor baby was on its back.

I had to open the bator and pulled out the three hatchlings rushed to the brooder and moved the third floor eggs to the lower floors. Squirted water to get the humidity up.

The brooder already has 6 one day olds, so they were running roughshod over paratrooper chick, so I put the jumper back into the bator.

Good news though there are three peeper eggs going to hatch today. I wish I could call in sick but I have a day full of meetings. Why on earth didn't I marry for money????

all 4/9 of mine hatch on the 22nd and I am done till the 4th of June At this time I will be done for a week or two to work on making room for all the babies that I have.

It hatched!!! Its on its back though, will it flip itself over?

I knew I should have waited and let it do its thing. Its upright and wobbly trying to walk around!
