No pips yet on my 16 eggs, but we can hear the chicks chipping at the shells. I think I heard ghostly chirping once, kind of a chorus of far-away peeping. Day 21 is Friday. We are very excited!

Well 5 delawares out this morning I thought there would be more. Alot of pips and some zips. This Hatch doesn't look to bad for losing power during incubation twice.

I am still waiting for anything to happen. I thought I saw one of the eggs move last night but I am not sure. Saturday will be day 21 so I still have time to wait. I thought with the temp being high a lot that I would start to see something early but nothing yet. I candled Monday and all was well.

Babies, babies, everywhere!

Stevenson, on my last hatch, I had one pip in the morning, didn't hatch until the very next day. Just kept pecking at it, then when it got to business the nest morning, and started to zip, it went fast. The next chick pipped, then started to zip later that day, but took forever to zip! As long as you see it pecking once in a while, it will probably be fine..maybe it's out now??

Oh, day 19, and I haven't seen any wriggles yet. Sometimes I do, and sometimes I don't. I like to though.

First one of this hatch! It's a Speckled Sussex - still waiting on the one that pipped last night, but apparently it is still moving on occasion. Maybe this one will encourage it to hatch as well!

Day 20 here and nada...same thing as my last hatch. No movement , no pips then early morning on day 21 it all started and went fairly quickly. At least...I HOPE it is the same as last time. Until you get that first pip you can't help but think...maybe something happened since lockdown and none will hatch!

We are 6th grade, this is the 7th hatch in my class over the past few years.

Thank you for the pictures! The Chillin' is great. Are the kids pretty excited? I forgot what grade they are.
