Cynthia12 and natchlaly, Thanks for the encouraging words!! I did leave them under the hen, so fingers are crossed. I feel more hopeful now. My 3 year old twins came 10 weeks early so I haven't experienced this kind of anticipation before.

Well I am on lockdown and I think I am going to have a better time of it this time after doing a bit of remodeling to the incubator. I put in a wire floor with a big pan under it for water, so far the humidity is staying nice and high and the temp is staying a bit steadier. I also put the 9 eggs to hatch in a egg carton so that they do not get moved to much while turning all the other eggs. After the hatch on June 4th I am going to be done for a bit for I am running out of room to put all the babies. We are having rain storms off and on for the next 7 days and my coop gets flooded so I can not put any of the littles out there for a time. I did put my 5/9/11(the one I bought too) chicks with my 4/21/11 chicks and all is doing great. This gives me room for the ones to hatch 5/22/11.I just hope that by the time the 6/4/11 one are due I will have the first ones out in to the coop.

I got a free hovabator 1602N from one of my wife's friends last night. I need to install a fan in it because I'll need to use it as a hatching box (due to the staggered hatch - 3 days apart). I hope it works out.

wowman...rain! Ugggh! We have had it all week, and will have it all next week. They say that this is the first time in years that Utah hasn't needed rain. I'd say!
My coop is up, so enough room for them to move about under there. Glad, they get bored being in the coop. The weather is warm enough, it just won't stop raining! I want it to stop so I can get my young ones out to the "nursery" hutch as I call it. It does have a light and a cover, but thinking with this wind going along with the rain, I will wait it out. Have to keep changing their bin they are in.

Rain rain, go away, do come back some other day.
