Thanks! I'm not saying her abuse causes her to be like this, if someone raises their voice however, or sets something down hard she hides and starts shaking, or if you go to pet her too fast, she thinks you're going to hit her.
many people take actions like this as a sign of abuse. it CAN be but just as often it's not. Weak nerves and poor temperament are just as likely. Honestly, they are more likely.
Get a behaviorist to come in and help you with training.
Until then, manage her environment. If you are worried about her charging the door, set up baby gates so that she can't get near the door. You can get "shapeable" gates and fence off the area around the door.
