It is odd for it to be a dove, as breeding season should be over, but it does appear to be a dove.
It is very nice to take care of it. but, they are protected under the migratory bird act, and are illegal to posses alive.
the choice is yours, but if you choose to keep it, chicken layer pellets with warm water till its the consistency of yogurt will be able to raise it. feed it through a water bottle with the cap off, and some plastic wrap with a slit through it. the baby will put its beak in with guidance and eat with no problem. i hope this helps.
