Last night i was letting my Hens free range when I saw some yolk on the ground, this morning I noticed one of my birds not leaving the coop. I checked her out and noticed she had a soft rubbery egg half out of her vent, I pulled as much out as I could I don't know if theres any left. Does anyone have any experience with what to do?

This is very common, but it can be a set-up for infection or developing egg yolk peritonitis. Many people will take a weak vinegar solution and flush it up into the vent with a syringe or bulb syringe to disinfect and help wash out any further egg material. It should only take about 1/2 ounce used twice.

I''d give her some extra calcium. Do you offer oyster shell and feed layer feed? Also, if you have Tums, you can dissolve one in their water today. Feeding their egg shells back to them may provide other nutrients besides calcium that they need to form hard shells.

Here's a whole lot more info:

Definitely extra calcium. Think about buying oyster shells to feed her at your local feed store. Also, feed her treats such as corn, lettuce heads, or fruit such as watermelon.
