That is so terrible.. I lost my little Telula too..

Same thing. Just went out and found her dead. I thought she was sleeping in the tall grass or something. She was tiny though, anything could have gotten her or she may have been 'defective' because of her size. I found her and BAWLED forever--days really.... To make it worse (and better) I buried her outside of one of the windows of our house. My very sweet and sensitive 6 yr old son, and my 7 yr old half-sister were there. They ran around and found a small flat rock to put over her grave and wrote her name on it with chalk. It was so sweet, they kept patting me and telling ME that it was OK.....Later when I passed the rock, they had picked all of the peonies off the bush and handfuls of wildflowers and covered her grave in them. (Im starting to cry again!)
From time to time, my little boy will put some on her teeny grave, and never say a word to me. He is so sweet.

I kept crying and saying "I cant believe Im crying over a stupid chicken!" but I really loved her. Chickens are wonderful animals with lots of personality. Im sorry you lost your favorite too.
 
Oh my goodness, I am so sorry about your sweet little Telula, what a pretty little one, I started crying when I read this!! It's gonna take some time to heal cuz I think we both have broken hearts now!! What sweet kids and sensitive little kids,

so sorry for your loss. it alway happens to your favorite one. I hope things get better for you and you can find a home for the goose.
