I went out to the coop today to check the chickens feed and water and collect the eggs, since its been really rainy i havn't been out in about two days. I open the coop door to see blood everywhere. so i start looking at the chickens and discover my roo is missing his toenail and possibly the tip of his toe. But he is not bleeding at all anymore and he is walking fine, and acting like himself. So my question is should i even bother him with trying to clean it? Maybe just some pen-g shots for a couple days? or should i clean it with peroxide/ bluecoat/ ?should i bandage it(and with what?).I don't want to bother him if its not nessasary but i don't want him to get a infection either. Any suggestions.........
