Sorry for posting here. Yes, I know there is a section for buy/trade/sell - but I'm not allowed to post there as I haven't made enough posts yet.
I have four Buff Orpington hens, about 17 months old, laying well (2-3 eggs per day). And I'm trying to find a new home for one of them (I'm in Lexington,MA).
Why? Because I live on a scant quarter acre lot surrounded by neighbors and this bird is LOUD. For much of the day. I don't know why she is so different from the other three who are relatively quiet, but I'm facing neighbor complaints and I don't want to start endangering the town law that allows us to keep chickens in the first place.
So if you are in my area, live on a larger property where chicken noise is not an issue, and would like to expand your flock let me know.
