Need to buy a quality coop!

Why?
I'd want large enough to walk into to tend birds during nasty weather......
...and taller for better winter ventilation up high.
A lot of ME has really extreme weather. A smaller coop with 6 hens in it can be beneficial in regards to the hens generating enough body heat to keep it comfortable for them.
No arguments from me I love having my coop within my barn space.

The bird will be outside most of the day. So they just need plenty of perches and you will have a happy flock! That coop is great because even though you say you aren’t going to get more birds it happens to us all. You will get more abs that coop has plenty of soon for 8 birds with a lot of out side space. Easter Eggers very in size the are around the same size as you Plymouthes. Although they can be smaller they won’t have as much meat on them so the will be smaller and lighter. They will probably cuddle a lot in the winter, my girls cuddle when it is 60. Every bird is different so some might do better on the weather but other might not. Always keep the options in or out olpen do the can be “free.”

Yes but still they naturally like to scavenge and explore. I know that there is a big difference in climate but chickens are going to be chickens. I don’t want to argue about it just my view on their behavior.
Fun fact: Sebrights only come in one size: bantam. They are considered a true bantam for that reason.
