I like a colorful flock but need eggs too

Keep a barred rock and a white rock for best egg production (for prolonged period of time) then one or two others for color and let the others go. Just MHO.

I myself would let the Cinnamon Queen go, I can pick them up for 2 bucks each, and they are laying age. I read that they do not lay but just 1 or 2 years, but I have not had them either.

if you like eggs, keep the cinnamon queen, she will lay hard for those two years. And who knows which chickens you will have then. Birds come and go in a flock, add and subtract should be a yearly event.

I would keep the Silver Laced Wyandotte for her Beauty, the Barred Rock or White Rock or both if you go with 4, and the Rhode Island Red. Its a good variety of color with some of the best all around heritage breeds.
