Need to purchase turkeys; help, I cant find any

My MW's are laying right now they are very young and most of the eggs have been good but yesterday it was 85 it gets to freezing in the early AM then warms right up. The Bourbons are right next to them I don't think they'll lay eggs but who knows same with my Palms they are a little younger but still I was thinking only in the spring but they strut around but the only girls that lay down are the MW one of them must love me she gives up her bread to submit..silly hen

Go to your local feed stores and ask if they know of any breeders in your area. Leave your phone number with them to call you. Maybe even your 4 H group might have a contact for you. Is there a processor in your area? They usually give me the phone numbers to breeders of whatever I am looking for. They will even tell you who has the best ones.

Call your Cooperative Extension. They should know who has turkeys in your area.

I just found a pair of Narragansetts and Red Bourbons last week. I'm getting eggs, but don't know from which hen. I also have a BB Bronze in that pen.

I posted on Craigs list that I wanted turkeys and the sellers contacted me.

You might find a breeder that hasn't sold all their Thanksgiving birds in a heritage breed that will see you a pair.
