I know this is a huge long shot, especially because most of these posts are for roosters, but I'm trying to find homes for two of my roosters. If not I have someone willing to help me butcher them and it would be sometime in the next week, but I really would prefer they find homes. I live in southern maine, I can drive some distance. They are both very pretty, one is half silkie and is a beautiful reddish color, several months old. The other is an easter egger who is about a year and a half, also gorgeous. The older boy is very good with the hens, the silkie isn't old enough yet for me to tell but he is very sweet. If anyone can take them I would be very grateful, I feel so bad about the possibility of killing them but roosters are illegal where I live, and my mom wants me to get rid of them very soon.
