I used a teaspoon per one gallon of water for Corid

He is still about the same tonight. Not really eating or drinking unless I make him. Not as lethargic as yesterday, but still not himself. Going to clean out all the waterers and everyone is getting Corid. Saw a couple of others with abnormal poo. Thank you for the poo chart. His is not normal. How long do I need to get rid of eggs that are laid after the corid starts?

It is a liquid and there is nothing listed on it. I beleive the treatment is for 5 days. Just dont know how long to not eat the eggs

2 months ago I brought home 4 chicks.. they DID smell.. really like either Corzya or coccidiosis (I don't recall at this exact moment) then it began. One began to wheeze, I put her on duramycin in the water. Then she cleared up and the rooster got the horrid smell, lethargic, refused to eat, or move, blood in poop. So I got him on it by forcing it down his throat with sugar water.

Blah Blah Blah... so I have had the girls on either duramycin, then found blood in poop so changed to Sulmet (a sulfa drug).. off and on for 2 months.

I went to buy a bottle of Tylon 50 (spelling?) and injected my darling red hen who had been gurgling throughout the duramycin in the water technique for weeks. She refused to eat for a while and I forced it down her throat with sugar water.

Tylon by injection seeeeems to be the one that is working. Note "seeeeems" I had to give a healthy one a shot an hour ago... breathing with mouth open and nose clogged with dry snot. WHAT THE HELL! Are they passing things back and forth? Are they getting rid of one thing and getting a lung abcess?

I suggest just begin with one drug and move to the next after a few weeks. Give it a chance to either work or not. And get some down his throat or he will die of dehydration or whatever chickens die from after a couple of days. I've been told by quite a few people that California has a reputation for repiratory problems... I suppose we are passing chickens around alot.

I got my Teramycin, duramycin, tetracycline, stuff at the feed store in a little bag. For about $12. Then the Sulmet for $19, then the Tylon for $19. These little darlings are costing an arm and leg.

Good luck.! No, I'm not an expert, just my little chicken world turned upside down for the last 2 months. Never knew they were so delicate! I love them though!

Thank you for the information. I am not sure what is going on. Everyone is doing well except for the rooster and he has improved some. I added the Corid today and will see what happens. Nothing respiratory at the moment thank goodness
