Need urgent help with incubator temperature - Janoel 8-48-

Where I live it's 8pm and I had imagined I might sleep tonight. With the skarm going off like this it's sounding unlikley!
Plus, I've got work in the morning !!

I don't think I slept more than about 3 hrs at a time the whole of lockdown due to that darn alarm! You can adjust when it goes off though for some reason even doing that upset it when I tried again at the end so I wasn't game to fiddle. You don't want that the whole three weeks though!

Will your thermometer fit in one of those little air holes in the top so you don't have to open the lid? My hygrometer was digital, bought it pretty cheap off eBay and did the temp test and it was accurate. It had to probes on the end of cords that I could dangle into those holes and leave there. The humidity bit I just put inside and the lid still closed over the cord.

Also, is your thermometer and its screen out by a fairly consistent amount? If so you could try just adding the difference to the screen in your head so you have an idea of temp without having to use the thermometer. ie if screen 34.5 is thermometer 35.5 you know to just add one degree to the screen for actual temp. Then every 15 mins or so adjust that CA again by 1 till you get it where you need. If it's going down adjust the opposite way.

When you think you are pretty right I'd then risk another quick thermometer check.

Thanks again appps - feeling less lonely though the temperature is still A BIIIGGGG problem . And I really am stuck here. The screen is still showing between 34.6 and 34.8 but going no higher and I don't know what else to do :(

I've ordered a hygrometer as you have suggested appps. Appatently it will arrive between 1st Dec and the 17th .

So still stuck with temperature problem.
Can anyone tell md what I can do with this incubator ?
I'm worried about my duck eggs and mine and my husband's ( or should I just say - my life ? ) sleep whilst this blessed incubator alternates between 34,6, 34.8 and its alaaaaarrrmmm :(

Oh Love - thanks for not giving up on me :).
Yep - the last two times I calculated , the difference between the screen and the thermometre was 1.7. So I did the CA to -1.7.
Since then the screen has shown 34.6 and verry occasionaly 34.8.

Oh and have you worked out how to adjust the alarm parameters? For starters adjust that to shut it up, you won't get any more sleep but your hubby will at least :)
