Thank you for the great suggestion! My partner got home, we cleaned him up, and at that point, we could find the wounds and confirm it was pecking. He was a little stressed about being alone (funny how he'd rather be near his attackers), but calmed down and is seeming happy to be getting the "spa treatment," as we like to call it. It looks like the kind of thing that should heal up in a couple of weeks.

It's so difficult when they do that to one another. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Birds can be so mysterious at times...
