Thank you for the great suggestion! My partner got home, we cleaned him up, and at that point, we could find the wounds and confirm it was pecking. He was a little stressed about being alone (funny how he'd rather be near his attackers), but calmed down and is seeming happy to be getting the "spa treatment," as we like to call it. It looks like the kind of thing that should heal up in a couple of weeks.I recommend COLLOIDAL SILVER!
It will help he scab over without infection.
Also recommend putting coconut oil on it. It will lower the bacteria and protect from infection.

It's so difficult when they do that to one another. I'm sorry you had to go through that. Birds can be so mysterious at times...I had one hen that they beat so badly out of the blue one day that she passed despite my best effort. Her head looked like just like that too. Only worse.
